What the Last 30 Days Changed for Me

What the Last 30 Days Changed for Me

There are moments in your career that feel significant while they’re happening.

And then there are moments you don’t fully process until afterward.

The last 30 days have felt like that for me.

Not because everything suddenly changed overnight.

But because certain moments made me pause long enough to recognize how much has already changed.

Seeing It in Print

There was something different about seeing my face in a magazine.

Different than social media.
Different than a post online.
Different than a notification or announcement.

It felt permanent.

Not in an ego-driven way.

But in a reflective way.

A moment that made me stop and think about everything it took to arrive there.

The Weight of Recognition

Being named Esthetician of the Year has been an incredible honor.

But what surprised me most wasn’t the announcement itself.

It was the quiet moments afterward.

The moments where I sat with the reality of what that title represents.

Years of work.
Years of teaching.
Years of continuing even in seasons where growth felt slow or invisible.

Recognition has a way of making you look backward and forward at the same time.

Backward at everything it took to get here.

And forward at the responsibility that comes with it.

What Visibility Changes

Visibility changes things.

Not necessarily the work itself.

But the way people see you.
The way opportunities find you.
The level of expectation attached to your name.

And while that can feel exciting, it also requires intention.

Because visibility doesn’t remove the responsibility to grow.

If anything, it increases it.

Processing the Moment

I think sometimes we assume milestone moments will feel loud.

But honestly, this season has felt more reflective than anything.

More grounding than overwhelming.

It’s made me think deeply about:

  • The importance of consistency
  • The value of staying committed to your craft
  • The impact of continuing to show up over time

Because moments like this are not built in a day.

They are built in repetition.

The Bigger Perspective

This past month also reminded me that success is rarely one-dimensional.

The award matters.

The article matters.

The recognition matters.

But so do the people who supported me along the way.

The clients.
The students.
The conversations.
The quiet seasons where I kept building without knowing where it would eventually lead.

All of those things are part of this moment too.

What Changed Most

More than anything, the last 30 days changed how I see expansion.

Not as pressure to become someone different.

But as permission to fully step into what I’ve already built.

To stop minimizing it.
To stop questioning whether I belong in certain rooms.
To move with more confidence and clarity.

If you’re in a season where your growth still feels quiet, stay committed to it.

You never know which moments are slowly building toward something bigger.

And sometimes, the things that change your life most…

Happen after years of simply continuing.
