There are seasons where preparation feels quiet.
The work is happening.
The planning is happening.
The growth is happening.
But most people only see the moment once everything becomes visible.
Right now, I’m in one of those preparation seasons.
And honestly, I’m excited about it.
The Countdown Is On
The countdown is officially on for my first on-stage speaking presentations at Premiere Orlando on May 30 and 31.
Even writing that still feels surreal in some ways.
Not because I doubted my ability to teach.
Teaching has always been part of who I am.
But there’s something different about stepping onto a stage at that level and sharing your knowledge in rooms filled with beauty professionals from across the industry.
It feels like growth in real time.
Preparation Looks Different at Every Level
One thing I’ve learned is that every new level requires a different type of preparation.
Not just technically.
Mentally.
Emotionally.
Professionally.
You begin thinking differently about:
- Your message
- Your impact
- The responsibility attached to being in certain spaces
Because growth is not just about reaching the room.
It’s about being prepared to lead within it.
Refining the Message
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been refining presentations, reviewing material, and thinking deeply about what I want people to leave with after my classes.
Not just information.
But perspective.
Because real education should do more than teach technique.
It should expand the way people think about what’s possible for themselves and their careers.
Preparing for More Than the Stage
This season also feels bigger than one event.
There are other things quietly taking shape behind the scenes.
New environments.
New opportunities.
New ways to teach, serve, and grow.
And while I’m not ready to share every detail yet, I will say this:
I’m preparing for a season that feels more aligned than ever before.
Why Memorial Day Matters
Today is also Memorial Day.
And while many people spend the holiday resting or gathering with family, it’s important to pause and recognize what the day truly represents.
Memorial Day honors the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.
And for beauty professionals specifically, holidays like this can also be a reminder of something else:
The importance of freedom.
The ability to build careers, businesses, schedules, and lives on our own terms is something many entrepreneurs work hard to create.
And moments like today are a reminder not to take that freedom lightly.
This Season Feels Meaningful
This season feels meaningful in a way that’s hard to fully explain.
Not rushed.
Not forced.
Just aligned.
And I think alignment feels different because it brings clarity with it.
If you’re in a season of preparation, don’t overlook it just because the results aren’t fully visible yet.
Preparation matters.
The quiet work matters.
And often, the season before the moment is what prepares you to carry it well.
