Marriage, Business & Balance: Lessons from My First 90 Days

Marriage, Business & Balance: Lessons from My First 90 Days

Almost Ninety days ago, I said “I do” to the love of my life.

Since then, life has been a whirlwind of joy, adjustments, growth, and truthfully—some hard lessons. Running a growing business, blending a family, and learning how to love and lead at the same time has stretched me in ways I never saw coming.

But even in the mess and the magic, one thing is clear: I wouldn’t trade this growth season for anything.

Here are a few raw, real lessons I’ve learned in my first 90 days as a wife, entrepreneur, and woman evolving on every level.

1. You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup (Even If You’re a Boss)

I’ve built a life around serving—my clients, my students, my business, and now my family. But what I’ve learned is that being everything to everyone doesn’t mean you’re successful... it means you’re running on fumes.

Marriage reminded me that rest is productive. That I don’t have to earn rest by hitting a goal. That joy, softness, and presence matter just as much as strategy and execution.

💡Balance isn’t 50/50 every day. It’s knowing when to shift gears without guilt.

2. Business Growth Without Personal Growth Will Leave You Burnt Out

I’ve had to grow with my business—not just in it.

Being a newlywed has challenged me to communicate better, set boundaries, and redefine what success really looks like. Turns out, those same lessons apply in the treatment room and the boardroom.

✨ You can’t scale a business you’re emotionally unavailable for.
✨ You can’t lead others if you haven’t done your own healing.

Growth in business always starts with growth in you.

3. Your Support System Matters More Than Your Strategy

There will be days when nothing goes according to plan. The money might not hit like it should. The algorithm might flop. The client might cancel.

In those moments, having a partner who believes in you, holds space for you, and reminds you who you are—that’s the real flex.

Whether it's a spouse, a best friend, or your sister circle—protect your peace by choosing people who support your purpose.

Give Yourself Permission to Redefine What “Having It All” Looks Like

For years, I chased the hustle. But today, having it all looks like:

  • Serving my clients with integrity

  • Coming home to peace and love

  • Resting without guilt

  • Growing a business and a life I love

If you're navigating a new chapter—marriage, motherhood, moving, scaling—know that it's okay to feel stretched. Growth is uncomfortable, but it’s also sacred.

The version of you on the other side of this season? She’s worth it.
