đź’Ť From Vows to Vision Boards: My First Month as a Married Beauty CEO
Thirty days ago, I said “I do” to the love of my life—and stepped into a new role not just as a wife, but as a woman no longer doing it all alone.
For years, I carried the weight of building a business, raising my son, and showing up strong for everyone around me as a single mother. And I was proud of that strength.
But now, as a married woman with a beautiful blended family and a bonus daughter who loves all things skincare, I’m learning that love doesn’t weaken your hustle—it softens your spirit so you can thrive in new ways.
This first month of marriage has been full of growth, grace, and unexpected lessons. Here’s what being a Beauty CEO and a wife has taught me.
❤️ Lesson 1: Success Feels Different When You’re No Longer Doing It Alone
There’s something sacred about not having to carry every burden by yourself.
As a single mom, I was in survival mode. Every win came with the weight of sacrifice. But now, there’s someone asking me, “What do you need today?”
There’s a child who looks up at me while putting on her face mask and says, “Can I help you in your spa one day?”
That kind of love doesn’t just fill your home—it fuels your purpose.
I don’t have to be the hero every day. I just have to be present, both at home and in my calling. And that presence is my new version of success.
✨ “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV)
That verse has never felt more true, than now.
💬 Lesson 2: Communication is the Foundation—for Clients and Couples
Marriage has taught me that it’s okay to ask for help. To express needs. To slow down and listen.
And funny enough, that lesson flows right into how I run my business:
🗣️ I no longer assume what my clients need—I ask them.
đź’» I pause and listen to what estheticians and beauty pros in my community are really craving.
📣 I share with vulnerability, not just authority.
Because communication builds connection. And connection builds trust—in love and in business.
🧴 Lesson 3: Self-Care Isn’t a Luxury—It’s Survival
Before marriage, I pushed self-care to the back burner. Now, I prioritize it like my peace depends on it—because it does.
But not in the ways you might think.
✨ I prioritize quiet morning car rides.
✨ I sip tea in silence while my house still sleeps.
✨ I step away from work to cheer at basketball games and tennis matches.
It’s not about bubble baths—it’s about making space to breathe.
And when I do, I show up more creatively, more compassionately, and more fully—for myself and the people I serve.
👰🏽♀️ Lesson 4: Blending a Family is Sacred Work
Becoming a wife came with the honor of becoming a bonus mom—and that’s a blessing I don’t take lightly.
She loves everything about skincare. We mask together. We talk ingredients. She watches me work and asks questions like, “Can I help with your products someday?”
What I’m building isn’t just for me anymore.
It’s for her, for my son, for every little girl watching a woman build a legacy from love, not just grit.
Blending a family is learning and unlearning. It’s grace and growth. And it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been trusted with.
🌱 Lesson 5: You Don’t Have to Choose Between Softness and Strength
Marriage has allowed me to soften. And in that softness, I’ve found new strength.
Now I lead with both:
🌸 The ambition of a CEO
🌸 The compassion of a woman who knows what it feels like to rebuild
🌸 The joy of a mom who gets to co-parent in peace
🌸 The pride of a wife who’s loved for who she is—not what she does
You don’t have to be “hard” to be taken seriously.
You can cry and close the deal. You can love deeply and lead fiercely. You can run your empire and make space for your marriage.

Whether you're single, married, a mama, or still learning to choose yourself—this blog is my hug to you.
You are enough. Your softness is strength. Your story is unfolding beautifully.
And if you’ve ever wondered whether love would require you to shrink your dream, I’m living proof:
You don’t have to dim your light to make room for someone else’s. The right partner will help you shine brighter.
